Kyle Hart, LHP: The 27-year-old has gone from a 19th-round pick who signed for only $5,000 in 2016 to one of the Red Sox’s top depth starters entering 2020. Boston added him to the 40-man roster in November. He’ll likely be in the mix with Houck to start games in 2020 with Price gone. Hart recorded a 3.52 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and .233 batting average against in 27 outings (24 starts) for Double-A Portland and Triple-A Pawtucket during 2019. He doesn’t throw hard but his slider has led to impressive minor league stats.
